ElonMustardHead in the Clouds Techno-Optimism…I’ve been listening to this show for the past 5 years, and while I enjoy their perspectives, my sense is that their techno-optimism is myopic and fails to address the complexity of the multiple, converging polycrises of our times. They would do well to educate themselves on the systems thinking approach. I’d recommend they study the work of Daniel Schmactenberger as an entry point. Nate Hagen’s podcasts with Daniel are a great intro to systems thinking & the limits of the “technology and human ingenuity will solve all” paradigm. Crucial concepts such as the “Jevon’s Paradox” are completely overlooked by techno-optimists such as Peter & Dan. For those who are interested, I particularly recommend this episode on the environmental impact of AI: “The Wide Boundary Impacts of AI with Daniel Schmachtenberger | TGS 132” Peter & Dan — if you read this, please do more episodes on environmental issues. I see only 3 episodes on this topic since 2017. You can do one episode per 9 “planetary boundaries” as described in the Stockholm Resilience Center report. Six of the nine planetary boundaries are radically overshot, and I’m curious to hear informed takes on how to address these issues.

jaisroseWisdom that refreshes youThere’s lots of places you can get information in the world. But the combination of experience and expertise is rare. This site is like using clinical trials to distill truths based on experiences and wisdom. I like the open- minded thinking and the results that follow: WISDOM THAT IS REFRESHING.

DeronW5DeronThis podcast is good, but it would be excellent if Dan Sullivan would be quiet and let Peter talk. Many people want to hear Peter Diamandis’s ideas and we can’t because Dan keeps interrupting and talking about his own business.

m3sh_M3shUnder researched and highly partialDan, if wisdom is your goal, before tackling a complex issue like Brexit you have a duty to rise above your own confirmation bias. This episode was full of sloppy mistakes and factual errors. I urge you to listen back in the company of someone who deeply understands the many nuances of this historical event.

whenyouliveinthenowAMAZING. I’d get on a bus to anywhere with Peter and DanThis podcast is the perfect marriage of exponential technology and growth mindset with sacred vows of entrepreneurism in the mix. Both Peter and Dan lay the foundation and give practical examples of how to overcome the one thing that scares people the most—change and uncertainty. What is compelling however is the the mindset that these two have around the concept of change. In the examples given on this podcast the common denominator seems to be this growth mindset. The best way that I can describe this mindset of abundance is like everyone trying to eat a slice of a big apple pie. There are many people that will go for second servings when some have not had their first. Others will take their allotted one slice then hoard it. Some will eat it right away while others will share until there’s no more left. The mindset that the Exponential Wisdom podcast sets up however is that this apple pie is an ever-expanding pie where the slices are getting bigger and better. Once we see life from this abundance perspective then it opens the door to opportunity and growth beyond belief. If I can add or suggest anything is that perhaps Peter and Dan could begin to invite on some guest speakers such as fellow futurists like Ray Kurzweil, Zoltan Istvan or Aubrey de Grey. Or perhaps even devoting a segment in the podcast to that features an everyday Joe or Jane that has used the techniques and wisdom from this podcast and has exponentially changed his or her life for the better—and the story of how that happened. Anyway there are so many ways that this podcast can go (grow) and based the episodes thus far it just seems to be getting better and better. It looks like we are definitely in for an epic ride.

DanielHayesThe Best Way To Predict The Future Is To Create ItAnother "soon-to-be classic” podcast. Dan Sullivan and Peter Diamandis share insights and predictions on the future that is being created right now. I’ve listened to a lot from these two separately, and from the first few episodes I can tell this will be a show that pulls back the curtain to reveal the opportunities, trials, challenges and triumphs for entrepreneurs and everyday folk alike in an every increasing world of abundance. Have a listen…expand your periphery…soak it all in…and contemplate how you can contribute to the world.
