    Love
I’ve been listening for a couple years, when Jonna Jinton mentioned listening to her. And I just resonated. I did ignore the baby ones because I was never pregnant. But now I am.. so I’m going back and listening to all the old ones. Rachel is the best. 🫶🏻

    I feel her heart
I have been listening to this podcast since its inception yearssss ago. I feel like I have traveled along with Rachel in her life and she with mine. I love to hear her thought process on what is going on in her life. It truly helps me process what is going on in mine. Thank you Rachel for opening up to us in this podcast. I love your caring heart, humor and joy for life.

    Grateful and Grounded
I can’t express how grateful I am for your incredibly grounding and soul-enriching offering each Friday. I am 52 and not at all in the same phase of life as you are, but I relate to everything you share on a cellular and spiritual level. Thank you for modeling authenticity with integrity, living from your heart, and leaning into healing in all the ways. Because you do, I can. Because I can, someone else can. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Beautiful podcast, trolls take a breath…
I’ve followed Rachel for a decade and listened to the podcast for a number of years too. She shares her life in such a human way. Allowing listeners to witness her journey and in turn reflect on our own lives. I know that it’s done that for me. I feel like I’m on a phone call with a friend. I don’t agree with all of Rachel’s opinions (like I wouldn’t any other human) I don’t relate to every single episode of the podcast, that doesn’t mean the podcast is terrible it just means I skip that episode. Come on people! Rachel if you read this you are awesome and I value your content in my life :)

    Podcast
After 8 years, I still listen religiously every Friday. I follow along with everything Rachel is doing on IG. She’s not fake. She is you and I. Don’t hate someone because they have something you don’t. I’ve never felt as is she’s bragging or narcissistic. I wish I could be more genuine on camera and in front of others. Love you Rachel, Dennis, Lea and Bear!!

    Lovely storytelling
I enjoy Rachel’s storytelling and open sharing about her life. There’s always something relatable or memorable.

I love Rachel and her podcast!
Deep dives with authentic sharing and open heartedness. Family life, homesteading, spirituality, boundaries, women’s health- I come here every week and feel like I’m chatting with a friend.
  • Figliachepiange
    Incredible hipocrisy
The mold filled house she claims caused severe illness for her whole family is for rent on Airbnb and contains much of the same furniture and decor that was in the home during the mold contamination, including items which she herself has said repeatedly are of the type that must be discarded in order to avoid health consequences. Go have a look at the Reddit group about her for proof. This is a person who cares exclusively about self enrichment. Such people are not trustworthy.
  • Sunshinekace
    Not interesting anymore
I used to really like this podcast, but it’s really gone downhill. An entitled wealthy white woman complains about her life. Bring Dennis back.

You Are Doing A Good Job
Listening to this podcast is my self care. Just relaxing. It romanticizes simple life and motherhood, in a way I aspire to. It’s my weekly cup of calm. Feel like people are trolling a bit with the negative feedback lately… calm down folks. It doesn’t have to be for you.
  • luck47sat
    Wow
I don’t think it’s possible to be more smug and out touch that Ms Brathen and her equally boring and self involved guests.
  • kfjdnfiksnekw
    Not relatable
I used to really enjoy this podcast. But now it’s just not relatable. Even as someone who comes from privilege, I can’t relate to her any more. All she does is play farm and act like the universe is rewarding her. In this day and age this take is incredibly tone deaf. I wish she could find her privilege to help people instead of just marinating in her family wealth.
  • tstrobs
    Privileged narcissist
Extremely privileged narcissist talking about herself
  • Genyfromdablock
    Ridiculous
What does this podcast even have to offer anymore? Rachel just rambles on about her privileged, unrelatable life and thinks she’s speaking profound wisdom. This podcast is just an outlet for her to talk about herself.
  • 138 Water
    Dangerous and Delusional
This woman is dangerous. Her tirades against modern medicine are staggering in their ignorance. Her efforts to convince her audience that doctors are evil and the medical system is designed to hurt us will result in more harm rather than good. Rachel is NOT a doctor, and is in NO position to tell people to substitute ‘listening to their body’ for seeing a medical professional. If there was a woman experiencing an emergency during her pregnancy, Rachel would advise her to sit back, breathe, and have a Matcha, rather than being rushed to the ER. She would rather we pull a tarot card rather than getting annual screenings for cervical and breast cancer. Her performative calls to feminism and anti-patriarchy are lazy efforts to conceal the fact that Rachel does not care about anyone but herself. Cadence 13 Studios is borderline guilty of criminal negligence for hosting such radically dangerous content.

    I’ll miss this podcast!
I totally get that we all go through periods of metamorphosis in our lives. However, what used to be an offering-based podcast is now just a weekly pontification by a social media influencer with generational wealth talking incessantly about how her lifestyle is not actually based on privilege or social media stardom. This one-star rating is not about content related to nutrition or motherhood. It’s about a painful lack of social awareness, inauthenticity, self-righteousness, and judgement… all things the world definitely needs less of these days. I used to love this podcast, and I’ll miss it!

    Thank you
Thank you for the post U.S. election episode. It is so hard to feel alone and surrounded by people who do not seem to understand the lies and corruption that went into the election of DT. I want what’s best for the greater good, apparently most of my county disagrees with that mindset. It’s so frustrating to know that he’s the kind of person the people in my country admire. I cannot fathom their justification. I’m just going to keep moving forward and pray for the best.

Podcast for Narcissistic Privileged Women to Go Off and Never Be Accountable BRAVO! 😂
Listened and followed for years, but finally had to stop. Her podcasts are incredibly narcissistic and judgmental—not opinionated, just plain judgmental. Not to mention her kids are given no privacy, which is exploitative. Side note, not a vegan by any means but it’s not an eating disorder and she doesn’t have to attack other lifestyles and cultures because she clearly has to justify eating meat.
  • YasiWilliams
    Love this podcast
I’ve been listening for years! Such a special podcast. Often feel it was meant to be that I listened to an episode.
  • Slimkd
    Sick!
What a narcissist! She acts like she’s an expert on every topic! I would say she’s a yoga teacher but she’s not even that anymore.
  • Allbymyselfalone
    Guests are a drag
I know you think we’re enjoying these guests but I just find myself skipping these episodes. You’re a better solo act.
  • tihetzel
    Unhinged
I had to write a review after this election cycle in the US. Rachel came across with fear preaching to her audience as if we are all uninformed idiots. Her tone was patronizing and condescending for someone who usually speaks of remaining grounded and loving the world. I as a long time listener was deeply disappointed in her message of fear regarding an election and country that is really not her business as a Swedish national. If she wishes to interject she should do so with wisdom and education around the issues.

    Love this Podcast
I absolutely love Rachel and always have. I have been following her for well over 13 years ! This is the only podcast that I listen to and I look forward to it every week ! It’s like a therapy session for me even through I’m not the one speaking or unpacking lol ! Thank you for being you ! We appreciate you !

    Grifter
Unfortunately Rachel is a narcissist who was able to con a lot of women into thinking she is important. She has not walked the walk. She just talks. She has a gift for talking… thus… a podcast where she prattles on about what? She seems especially ungrateful, unhappy, and out of touch these days. I can think of multiple yoga influencers who have stayed true to themselves and their brand and aren’t projecting their dissatisfaction in a maniacal fashion on others who once enjoyed their content. Look her up on Reddit :)

    Ramblings of a narcissist
Rachel Brathen is a textbook narcissist who only cares about fame and money. She has no real principles or values and cosplays different characters on the internet in order to scam people out of money. She comes from a lot of wealth (her dad is super wealthy and has been her silent investor for years), and is a spoiled, entitled, snobby brat. She doesn’t care about anyone but herself, including her husband and children, whom she regularly exploits on social media for content and engagement. She is a liar and not a good person by any stretch of the imagination. I really wish more people would wake up and see what a fraudulent grifter she truly is. This woman is not worthy of anyone’s precious time or money. Find someone else to idolize because she ain’t it, I promise you.

    Lovely storytelling
Love listening to this podcast throughout the years and going along with Rachel’s journey. It’s soft, she’s an amazing storyteller, and I always feel like I’m touching base with a long lost friend. Thanks for the grounding words as always.

    Yikes
I’ve been a long time follower and listener here but after the recent election episode I think I’m out. Initially I thought the episode would be one I would like, talking about understanding of the range of experiences listeners would have post US election and approaching things from a personal, but respectful space. But that quickly changed. Talking about how egotistical and uncaring President Trump is after he literally survived an assassination attempt as he works tirelessly to better the country is insanity. He made over half of America feel heard after 4 years of inflation, tyrannical nonsense (remember all those people who lost their jobs over vaccine mandates under the Biden administration?), and yes, the manipulative and very real woke agenda. I’m all for agreeing to disagree but the judgment and attack that took place in this episode about things that aren’t even real (anyone with an ectopic pregnancy does not have to travel out of state to receive medical care!) and the blatant attack on white men time and time again is off the charts and such a turn-off.

Rachel is a remarkable story teller 🤍
I have been loving this podcast for over a decade now! I love the way Rachel shares, laughing, crying, describing an image for us to imagine. Thank you thank you thank you for continuing to share from your heart🤍

    Don’t listen
She has no idea what she is talking about when it comes to being plant based. She is all over the place and rather annoying. Not listening anymore. She is a narcissist!

    Potatoes/quinoa debacle
I really do enjoy listening to the podcast on a weekly basis. However, i cant stop thinking about how Rachel said she doesnt digest quinoa as well as potatoes due to quinoa being native to south america while she is swedish. Meanwhile potatoes are also native to south america?

    The Joys of Self Reliance
Ahhhh! It’s a sigh of relief to hear you speak your truth OUT LOUD. Yes, it’s very challenging to harvest and preserve food alone. I’m so similar in wanting to use the resources that are given to me in the garden and never waste anything. But there’s only so much time in the day as you mentioned. And I’m similar also in the experimentation department… I have tinctures, kombucha, kimchi, honey oxymels, herbs drying, and more and it’s a lot to juggle with motherhood. Sending love your way from abroad. Two additional ways that I can suggest (that I didn’t hear you speak of) are; working with a freeze dryer (preserving food this way maintains nutrients and can last up to 25 years 😍) and dehydration. Does your oven have a dehydrator setting or a low heat setting? I’ve been making a fruit roll/fruit leather (that my kids LOVE) with our peaches and nectarines puréed into a smoothie and poured onto Silpat Mat or possibly parchment paper. I love it because it’s easy to prepare and then it’s going in the background and doesn’t require as much attention as a jam/jelly/syrup. Thank you Rachel for your honest sharing from Your heart! I’m a long time listener and fellow Mama/Yoga Educator/Aspiring Homesteader/Plant lover.

Nothing “yoga” or “girl” about this podcast
I had been a huge RB fan since 2014. I donated money for her 108 project, her SGT Peppers Friends project (and adopted the most loving dog), and her island yoga project. I subscribed to her yoga platform for a few years. I loved all of these projects that held meaning and offered help and services for so many people and beings and deeply appreciated her energy and candor. However, somewhere along the way her efforts turned toward herself and her focus and energy changed entirely. I’m not sure if it was the money, the babies, or the mold or the combination, but it’s been sad to see “Yoga Girl” transform into whatever is happening now. I tuned back into this podcast and checked the Yoga Girl platform for new yoga content, but rather than returning to yoga it’s gotten further from it. I understand evolution and change is healthy and expected, but I think it’s time to formally put the name yoga girl to bed and perhaps rename these endeavors for what they are. Unhinged and rambling thoughts of a rich eccentric that lack empathy and nuance with no benefit or learning being delivered. Unless of course you’re looking for a new identity and want a step by step guide for Swedish ancestral living through the lens of Rachel. Also, it feels weird that she collects membership money for her yoga platform when all she is selling are classes that literally almost ten years old. It seems disrespectful to the teachers who are featured on it to have let the platform go the way she has. Delete it or invest it, Rachel. I think it’s time to have the courage to let yoga girl go. All it is is exploitation of a practice and a community you’re no longer serving, but that you continue to let serve you. Yuck.

    Don’t understand the negative reviews
Your podcasts are always so aligned with me and where I am. Been listening for years, through light and dark times. After all this time, I am bothered that this episode is allegedly your first parenting experience with big emotions towards your daughter. I appreciate your bravery in sharing but do not appreciate the facade. -a therapist
  • Ang3303
    So over it
I listened from day one but agree with so many about it’s changed. OMG please she freaks out because she got mad at her kid? Please. She sounds like a spoiled brat with never being told no. We are screwed in the future the way these people are raising kids. It was way better the first few years.
  • yoloren
    Decent intro to self-help topics
Very basic, “instagram-y” talking about topics like feminism or patriarchy or body image, etc. - perhaps helpful for someone just entering the self-help/mindfulness world - but not much depth or nuance or integration to be found.
  • Belorlil
    A pure narcissist
Followed and listened for years. She’s a narcissist with a god complex. She becomes interested in something then is suddenly a self-proclaimed expert in the field. It’s dangerous and irresponsible. I feel horrible for her husband- everything is about her and what she has done for them. Remember, she is a brand, not a person.

Love you so much! Just wanted to thank you for this episode. I have been curious about this for a few years and wondered about “the details”. Leah is one lucky girl to have you as a mom, I wish I had grown up the way you are raising her 💖

    No longer following
Used to be my favorite podcast. I found it in 2017/2018 and always looked forward to listening. Thankful for the past episodes but I am no longer interested and would rather keep my reasons to myself but there are quite a few why I am no longer following.

    Sleep deprivation episode
I’ve heard a handful of these. Love the authentic shares and THIS one. Went through something like this w second baby and I felt like someone finally explained it similarly. Wow. I share my story on a blog and book would love to include this as an example!!!
