CwamneWow I love it, great listenThe Quickie Podcast is a really fun listen. Dave is very laid-back and funny. The questions he has for his guests are very unique, as well as the conversations. There's really nothing typical about it which is refreshing.

ZombiebaconsPrint is UndeadDave is a great interviewer, with an impressive insight into the print and design world. He doesn’t ask any softball questions, and the conversations are very natural and honest. A must-listen for anyone from design aficionados to print newbies.

HPmikeA Must-Listen!Dave is the best podcast host I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with - he’s witty, energetic, and asks questions that dig deep and create great conversation. He manages to pack a lot into a short episode so it’s truly worth every minute of your time. Cannot recommend it enough!

Trench BQuick and to the pointLove. Love the range of guests from experts how have advice to creative who are finding their way like I am. The structure is the same per show but Dave makes it never feel like a repeat since he directs the conversation to new and interesting places. Trench B

pilgrim aGraphic Design LivesDave Hopkins has created a down-to-earth podcast that every graphic design student should give a listen to. His interviews get to the core of why we professionals love design and how we can be better at our jobs. Thank you for doing this Dave as well as for your pleasant, inspiring talks.
-
angrybovineAwesome showWhat a great show and resource. Its one thing to hear from the already known “big name” designers, but lets face it…there are a lot of awesome designers cranking out great work that would go un-mentioned and remain unknown if it weren’t for people like Dave and shows like The Quickie. Its a great resource for designers of all level, with great backstory and insight on how work gets done.

JamesMBullDesign with a capital DDave is the undisputed heavyweight champion of design podcasts.
-
LeeelsFun and informativeNot only does Dave do a teriffic job of hosting talented and interesting guests, the dialogue is as entertaining as it is insightful. A particularly cool part of the podcast is the final question which is provided by the previous guest. Recommeded if you enjoy hearing from a variety of folks across a spectrum of design disciplines.
-
Morbo5Great mix of design education and entertainmentThe quickie podcast is one of my favorite creatives podcasts out there. My man Dave has got one of those voices... it just feels like you’ve been friends for a long time not having met each other ever lol. Great guy, love his questions, and love the knowledge he brings out of his guests for the creative community
-
Avery ArmstrongThank you!Thank you Dave for creating this space! Listening in isolation has helped feeling connected to the design community!
-

-
BMooreCreativThoughtful and InspiredThis is one of the best Design related podcast and actually focuses on Design and projects the guests have been part of. i always take away thoughtful bits from guests and appreciate the professional approach to podcasting.
-
Adam WiedmanExcellent graphic design-centric contentThe Quickie Podcast has got to be one of the most bingeable podcasts out there for designers – every episode manages to provide pertinent design content and entertainment in an easy to digest format. As a designer myself, I find it fascinating that so many other designers share so many similar backstories and influences that led them to where they are now. I’m hooked :)
-
keelyhoukLove this Amazing Podcast ❤️I love this podcast so much— it’s so important for all designers & creatives to listen to. Dave is hilarious and has so many wonderful (and awe-inspiring) guests. CarolineGrace.DesignThis podcast is my favorite!I listen to this podcast while I work every day! I find the content super relatable and it honestly gives me a lot of hope for the future. I want to one day be a full time freelance designer and the stories that I hear on here by some of my favorite designers make me feel like it’s right in reach! I highly recommend!!
-
Canvas_CamThe Most Relatable PodcastI came across The Quickie Podcast through Instagram and it’s easily became the most relatable podcast I listen too. If you want an easy listen while your working, that’s going to keep your attention but not take focus off of your work, listen to this podcast! It’s fuel in the tank and motivating hearing that other designers go through the same stuff as l do. Highly recommended
-
gfernandDesigners need to tune in!Dave is an incredible host and does an amazing job at facilitating the most interesting conversations. As a fellow podcast host, I know this is not easy! Great humor and tons of knowledge to bless your day with. Looking forward to more episodes.

Garrett MannINSPIRED GD STUDENTI'm a graphic design student in Vancouver, Wa. I get a quickie in aleast 4 times a day, and what a great podcast. As a 2nd year graphic design student, the quickie has inspired me to push through my insecurities as an artist, and gives me amazing insight on the design industry. Dave sheds light on what its like to be a designer in society, and perswayed me to get my bachelors in graphic design. This is a great resource for understanding designer expectations, downfalls, and strengths. Your the Man dave! P.S. Look out for Morning Breath Design from Brooklyn New York.
-
Oh Little RabbitInspiring podcast for creativesSuch good questions and conversations that are relatable to anyone in the creative industry.
-
Counsel CreativeBreakthrough Podcast for GoodThe Quickie is must listen for all creatives looking to make their mark. In a design world full of resources, few measure up to the authenticity and substance delivered in this breakthrough podcast. Dave is leading the charge for good. Keep it coming brother! With love from the Carpet Capital of the World.
-
The Gulliest SavageInspirational GuestsI’ve listen to just two eps and already I’m hooked. The quick interview process lends itself to much more in-depth answers than most design podcasts. Other design podcasts focus more on the host and not the guest.
-
MtumlinGreat Creative Podcast!I haven’t found many creative podcasts that I love but this is one of them! Having some of the same questions from week to week let’s you hear various perspectives on the same topic. Dave also does a great job of diving into rabbit holes along the way to learn more about each of his guests. Definitely a great podcast if you’re interested in any creative field!
-
Meena KhaliliGreat resource for designers at any point in their career!Don't get me wrong. I love taking the time to listen to longer podcasts, too, but the brief format of The Quickie is pretty refreshing. The convos are real, a bit quirky, and authentic to the creative being interviewed. Love this new resource. 10/10 do recommend.
-
jessreneeharveyRelatable StoriesI recently discovered this podcast and I can’t get enough of it! I love how structured the questions are and how diverse the responses are. It’s really reassuring to hear other designers experiences in the industry! I like to play it in the background while I’m cooking dinner or plotting points in illustrator 😂
-
Katie Haremski10/10 Would RecommendI love this podcast! I love how authentic these conversations are. I’m in the early phases of my creative career so I’m always looking for ways to grow. After coming across Dave’s podcast, I feel like I’ve been able to soak up so knowledge and wisdom through these interviewee’s stories. Seriously — I love it. If you’re in the creative world, this is a must listen.
-
joshjlewisGreat questionsDave not only asks unique questions for each guest, but he has a way of pulling out the more interesting parts of each guests stories. I highly recommend giving this a listen!
-
Howes Design ServiceA Quality Box of Creative CrayonsDave injects this podcast with enthusiasm, wit, and, most importantly, questions that pierce beyond the surface and deep into the soul of a creative. One would be very wise to listen and learn from the combined centuries of creative firepower he has hosted thus far. One of the best in it's class and heartily recommended by Howes Design Service.
-
The real Sean AdamsGreat interview questionsGreat interview! Somehow, you persuaded me to be honest and not my usual studied insincerity. I had a great time. You are a true pro.
-
K8707I Love It!!As a new designer this podcast has helped a lot. From the resources shared to just hearing the struggles and successes of veteran graphic designers.
-
brentgallowayGreat format!Love the short and value packed format of this show!
-
iamReedicusSame Recipe, but fantasticly different results.I love hearing how many different answers and stories come from the same questions Dave asks his guests. It reinforces how we all have a unique story to share. My absolute favorite part of the podcast is the "Ask It Forward" section — a great cliffhanger to end every episode.
-
JuliaMas2019Interesting podcast with a great hostMust listen for designers and design freelancers to get to know the design industry in the US and internationally.

SikBoy18A must listen for DesignersDave Hopkins has created a go-to podcast for designers in all fields of design. It’s a perfect listen while you’re at work to be inspired and to hear from other designers about their journey in the design field. You often find you relate to a lot of things designers speak about. Definitely dive in and give it a listen!
-
TinyTakata30 Great Minutes, Every TimeLove this podcast. One thing that sets this podcast apart is that there are specific questions you can listen for. It gives it a great structure and consistency that I look forward to hearing. So much great information in 30 minutes. Really entertaining and really helpful. My favorite part is the chance for each designer to ask a question to the next designer featured. It is really cool to see what designers are curious about in each other!
-
Cody BartzEasy to digest talks about graphic design life.Excellent podcast that goes into the lives of artists and designers. A roughly 30 minute interview conversation that touches on a variety of topics about their background, personal, and professional life. As a graphic designer myself I find a lot of insight from the guests. Each conversation has roughly the same general set of questions. Some guests stick to these and others talk more openly. I would be curious about different questions that allow the conversation to go new places. The host is very kind and respectful, easy to understand and listen to. Thank you for the podcast!
-
white28So dope hearing from a wide variety of designers!Bite-sized introductions to TONS of different designers (not just the heavy hitters and “conference circuit” folks). Also the host seems like the nicest dude ever. Like you could spill his coffee and he’d buy a new coffee for the both of you.
-
LandohhhAwesome podcast, highly recommend!Came across this on a road trip and loves every second. Had a blast listening to real stories from people in the industry.
-
Old Noise DesignSoundtrack to my morning routineReally great podcast. Living in a small town, I don’t get to have a lot of design discussions, so this scratches an itch I can’t usually reach.
-
NagenodGGreat ChatsIt's rad to hear real insights and experiences shared by real creatives. There's always a lot I can empathize with but also always a few surprises. Love the format, and the setup. The casual coversations Dave has with his guests are really authentic and honest.
-
belseachurkettGreat to listen to at work!Love to listen to this at work while “gasp” I’m designing! I learn as I work while being motivated. Learning a lot about design process, the business side of things, and how to get freelance work. Dave is the man!!!
-
BuurrrdmanSo much value in 30-ish minutes!I'm so happy that I stumbled onto The Quickie after one of my pals was interviewed! It's now a part of my daily routine. Dave is an excellent interviewer, and the guests he has on provide so much value and relevance to someone who works in, or is interested in, the world of graphic design. Definitely check out episode 130. That Zach Newton guy is really smart, and sounds very handsome ;)
-
DiBlancaCreative group therapyDave asks great questions and it's reassuring to hear the variety of answers. It's funny, philosophical, you'll laugh, you'll say "yes" out loud. This is my community. This is my work life. These are my struggles and my victories. I love it.
-
FantasticSpam1985Makes My Morning DrivesLove this podcast while commuting to work. It fills up just the right amount of time and is always super interesting! I love seeing where great designers originate from to where they’re going. Also the resources this podcasts provides online are great to boot!
-
Lisa Lisa2Creative DirectorI absolutely love this podcast! I've caught myself laughing out loud or nodding my head "yes" so many times. It's entertaining and so very informative! I've found my tribe!
-
LostArkhivesAn absolute diamond in the roughHey man I just had the opportunity to listen to your podcast with Kevin Moore. It was really awesome for a designer who’s young and green like myself to find, lots of industry insight and valuable tips for self care as a freelancer! Thanks for the wonderful insights and I look forward to a few more nights of catching up!
-
IconoclastdesigncoOne of the best design podcasts — hands down. There are a ton of design and creative podcasts out there. Dave and The Quickie are great. Most episodes are less than an hour and super tight. Dave and his guests are super down to Earth and relatable. This is not a stuffy interview show. These are real people pulling back the curtain and telling honest stories that could be the catylyst for another designer to level up. Highly recommend!
