    While the science of weight loss and maintaining weight loss can be simplified to the number of calories you ingest, anyone who has struggled to lose weight or maintain that weight loss knows it’s overall not that simple and definitely not that easy. Esther Avant, with her numerous and varied degrees and certifications in everything from nutrition to behavior change, along with her many years of experience in the field and from the struggles in her own life, is on a mission to share this wealth of knowledge and experience to empower and teach women how to lose weight by permanently changing their mindsets and lifestyles. And really, the improvements in mindset and lifestyle are the main goal, with weight loss coming naturally as a result. Whether she is interviewing a guest, reviewing a book, or imparting her own wisdom and concepts, Esther does an excellent job of introducing the topic and explaining the main points in a way that is easy to understand, and her analogies and metaphors do a great job in showing you how this information is relevant and applicable to your own life and journey. The information is presented in a very conversational manner, like you’re just having a chat with a friend, and there is some humor thrown in along the way so you never feel like you’re slogging through the episode. I find that the ease with which she presents the topic often leaves me surprised at the end at how much information there truly is in each episode. There are no gimmicks or fad diets to be found here because these things either don’t work or work only temporarily. If you’re looking to truly change your life, to permanently replace your current nutritional and lifestyle habits and mindset with ones that will better serve you to be who you want to be and lose weight as a result, this podcast is an invaluable resource that can help you do that.

    Episode 197 was so informative. I had heard some of the information on menopause before but not always the why and simplified in terms of what to focus on to feel better. Amanda Thebe reminds us that we are also all different in our experiences leading up to and during menopause and that we shouldn’t be ok with surviving every day but get help from doctors and also make just a few lifestyle, exercise and nutrition changes so we can thrive. Esther Avant's questions to her guest were the questions we all want to know. One of the most revealing parts was the discussion of supplements. I throughly enjoyed listening to this podcast and enjoy Esther Avant’s realism and positivity!

    Credible, motivating, and enjoyable!
    I first met Esther on this podcast. I really enjoyed listening to several episodes before I reached out to her for information about her coaching program. She has a lot of credibility and gives sound, rational advice. Esther provides a broad range of realistic scenarios, so that every listener is sure to relate. The topics are varied and interesting, and she has a way of simplifying complex science into practical information we can all benefit from. Give this podcast a try!

Listening to Esther Avant’s podcast is like listening to a dear friend who believes In you with her whole beard and who truly wants you to succeed and grow. A cheerleader in your corner. She’s witty, intelligent, well-read, compassionate, and gets straight to the message. Yes, I know it’s a podcast and she’s talking to a much larger audience, but her authenticity truly shines through. The end result? I’ve lost 12 pounds in the last three months, and even managed to stay on board over the holidays. I am happy with my eating, and feel like I’m nourishing my body along the way. If you are looking for a new resource or need some inspiration to lose weight or get in shape, try listening to this podcast before anything else.

Esther communicates science-based information in a clear and simple and engaging way, and also addresses mindset, behavior, and habits so that the information can be applied in life. She seems like someone you could sit down and chat over a cup of coffee with! I’m very grateful for the resources she has put obvious hard work into to make available, and am excited to see how it will impact my life moving forward.
