    Invaluable Source Of Horror Knowledge
I love this podcast. I love what Jim Moon does because I always come away from his shows, learning something new. His December series analyzing the best Christmas horror movies was astoundingly informative, creative and fun on a subject that I thought I knew but obviously didn’t! And it got me to watch all these holiday gems that I overlooked. Follow and Download the great work Jim Moon is doing! You’ll be glad you did!

The David Attenborough of speculative fiction
Mr. Jim Moon is the David Attenborough of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. I don't say that lightly. As Sir David has provided a guide to the natural world with sophistication, wit, and overwhelming knowledge, Sir Jim provides a guide to genre fiction, with impeccable historical research into, say, the evolution of the concept of the zombie, as well as recaps of the careers of greats such as Christopher Lee, all with humor and sharp wit. Definitely one of my top 10 podcasts!

    Well worth your time!
From his readings of classic & obscure strange tales, to his in-depth excursions into all topics weird & wonderful, Mr. Moon rises above most podcasts and has made something truly unique. His exhaustive research on various topics is in itself impressive. But it’s the humor and obvious love of the material that makes listening such a joy.

    No, just no
This would be a great podcast if the host didn’t speak with a cartoonish fake accent. I get what he is going for but I can’t stomach it.

    Get a PHD in Horror!
Jim Moon teaches a thoroughly entertaining master class on the horror genre. How he’s able to track down such extensive history I’ll never know, but I’m glad he does.

    One of the best!
This is one of the best podcasts out there! Jim has a great "radio" voice and his histories are awesome and take me back to my childhood when my love for the spooky and weird began. The podcast is entertaining and always fun!

    A new favorite
A new favorite of mine, great voice to have on when I work around the house or sitting at my desk. Love this angle on horror/goth/macabre!

    Grown-up Goth
Growing up in the 80's on a diet of Joy Division, Batman comics, and 60's Hammer horror films, and having graduated to the stories of Arthur Machen and M. R. James and the films of Guillermo Del Toro--I must say that this podcast strikes a deep dark chord that makes my serpentine strings resonate in sympathy. If these references carry no weight for you, how about Halloween everyday? These tales from the dark side make the world burn a little brighter.

    Best there is!
Loved the retrospecive on Richard Matheson! This is the best podcast there is for all things weird and strange as well as horrific. Mr. Moon's wonderful voice makes listening to his immense knowledge and witticisms an highly enjoyable experience. It is almost like spending time with an old old friend you've known all your life or sitting by the fire listening to your favorite grandfather or uncle tell his stories. I would highly recommend this show.

    The Ultimate Horror Show Host
Mr. Moon, Thank you so very much for sharing your amazing gift and talent for using your skilled voice to entertain and enlighten. You are the Dream Host for Horror and Weird fans! In my childhood, in the 70's, there was a great TV horror host here in Chicago- Svengooli!!! Ever since then I have loved the rare artists with the Vision needed to balance... humor, nuances of sound and music, researching the same questions we all had and then more than we did, vocal talent, composing wonderful scripts, etc. The talent and art of what you do takes me back to my childhood in the 70's. Staying up late and being scared the favorite summer pursuit of all the kids in our cul-de-sac. We would all gather in someones basement watch Svengooli host a horror flick. Then we'd have a bonfire in the the patio fire pit next door, toast marsh mallows and scare each other with more stories and dares. Then we all went from one swimming pool to the next and playing Hide and Seek, or Ghosts in the Graveyard when there was the regular occurance of Heat Lightning lighting up the countryside and terrifying forest behind our homes. Thank you again and sorry for my ramble. GREAT SHOW!!!

    Addictive
Once you get past Jim Moon's eccentric vocal mannerisms (if you remember Paul Harvey, the deliveries have something in common) you find a very intelligent podcast you will find time to listen to, assuming the subject matter engages you in the first place. The dog gets a longer walk when I listen to Mr. Moon. And those vocal mannerisms? - they grow on you...

The Man With the Golden Throat
One listen, and ye shall be hooked. If one were to imagine Mr. Moon presenting his podcast live, one would no doubt envision a distinguished and studious old gentleman welcoming his guests into his study for brandy, perhaps a smoke, and some deep intellectual conversation... and then things would take a turn towards.... well, listen and find out for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

    The Internet
Jim Moon combines a considerable amount of research with his dulcet tones and British wit in presenting a podcaster's podcast of dark and weird fiction. From the short stories of H.P. Lovecraft to the dark detective, Batman, Hypnobobs explores the broad and strange worlds of gothic, horror, sic-fi, and cult movies, comics, stories, and music. If your tastes lean to the macabre and you prefer a podcast with tongue firmly in cheek, this should be the podcast at the top of your subscribe list. From Edgar Allen Poe to Vincent Price, Jim delivers the best (and sometimes worst) weird fiction has to offer. Superb.
